MILAN – Colombia harvested 874,000 bags of coffee in April, up 5% on year, reports the National Federation of Coffee Growers in its monthly review. Total output in the last 12 months fell 3% to 14 million bags.
So far in calendar year 2018, Colombia’s production is down 4% on year at 4.3 million bags.
Coffee shipments in April rose 3% on an annual basis to 921,000 bags, while in 12 months the exports fell 1% to 12.8 million bags.
From January to April, Colombia shipped 4.2 million bags of coffee, 3% less than in the same period in 2017.
