BOGOTA, Colombia — In November, Colombian coffee production reached one million 300,000 bags, a figure similar to the one million 304,000 bags harvested in the same month of 2017.

The greater picking activity and the harvest peak in most of the country contribute to this stability in the bean supply.

Production from January to November was close to 12.3 million 60-kg bags, 2.9% down from the over 12.6 million bags harvested in the first 11 months of 2017.

In the last 12 months (December 2017-November 2018), coffee production exceeded 13.8 million bags, barely 1% down from the almost 14 million bags produced in the same previous period.

And in the first two months of the coffee year 2018-2019 (October-November), 2.39 million bags were produced, 0.4% up from the 2.38 million bags produced in the same period of the previous coffee year.

Colombian coffee exports in November rose 7.9% compared to the same month of 2017, from one million 161,000 bags to one million 253,000 bags of 60 kg.

From January to November 2018, Colombia exported almost 11.5 million bags, 2.3% down from the almost 11.8 million bags exported in the same previous period.

In the last 12 months (December 2017-November 2018), coffee exports exceeded 12.7 million bags, 3.8% down from the 13.2 million bags recorded in the same previous period.

And in the first two months of the coffee year, exports exceeded 2.3 million bags, 1.1% up from almost 2.3 million bags in the same period.
