In the final report onits survey of Brazil’s coffee stocks, the National Supply Company (CONAB) pegs coffee inventories as of March 31st 2015 at 14.369.048, down 5.58 percent from the previous year.
Arabica coffee stocks amount to 12.983 million bags or 90.3 percent of total inventories at March 31st.
The Southeast Region, the leading producing area of Brazil, encompasses 93 percent of the total, with 9.9 million bags in Minas Gerais, 2 million bags in Sao Paulo and 1.38 million bags (of which 935,420 of Robusta) in Espirito Santo.
