MILAN – In its third estimate for this year issued on Wednesday, Brazil’s National Crop Supply Agency (CONAB) pegs the country’s 2016/17 crop at 49.64 million bags, virtually unchanged (down some 30,000 bags) from its second estimate and up 15 percent from 2015/16.
Compared to the previous estimate, released in May, the Arabica harvest is seen about 1 million 60-kg bags higher. Conversely, the Robusta harvest is forecast 1 million bags lower.
