UK coffee chain Costa Coffee has said “sorry” to customers at one of its Barrow-in-Furness (Cumbria, North West England) cafes after one highlighted the shoddy state of the sofas.
Twitter user Stephanie Marshall shamed the coffee brand online by posting a picture of the sofa in the Hindpool Retail Park cafe.
She said: “Think we need a new sofa up here in Barrow-in-Furness! There’s only one in the Hindpool Retail Park and it’s not pleasant to sit on anymore! #itsgrimupnorth”
Costa replied and vowed to look into the state of the cafe which “could be due for a refurb”.
The chain replied: “This isn’t good Stephanie, sorry about this! Does look quite worn. I’ll raise this with the Area Manager to look into as this branch maybe in line for a refurb soon.”
