LONDON, UK – Costa Coffee has recently reopened one of its bustling London stores and welcomed back members of the local community for their favourite coffee. Situated in the residential district of West Hampstead, the store has received a fresh new look and feel and boasts a range of new enhanced digital features. New and returning customers to the Costa Coffee store on West End Lane, West Hampstead, will be instantly welcomed by a refreshed bespoke décor, right through to a contemporary street-facing service counter and a dedicated space for remote workers.

Coffee lovers will even be able to purchase a new half-caffeine option, with the West Hampstead store being only the second store in the UK to serve customers this option.

Positioned across the ground floor level of the store, Costa Coffee has ensured remote workers or those simply looking for a space away from home to focus can do so in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The introduction of the dedicated work zones – a UK first for Costa Coffee – will allow for remote workers or those looking for a quiet space to think, the chance to pick an individual pod to work from. These spaces have been divided by screens to ensure personal space and privacy is a priority, with each section featuring a power socket and the use of free Wi-Fi.

Costa Coffee: A range of new offerings

A further stand-out addition to the store is the newly designed street-facing service counter, which will deliver a quick and efficient service, without even having to set foot inside the store.

If customers are in a hurry, they can simply place their order on the Costa Coffee Club mobile app and collect it from the street-facing service counter without having to queue. It’s perfect for those on-the-go coffee enthusiasts, who want to grab their favourite handcrafted coffee at speed and with limited contact.

To ensure customers have the most up-to-date handcrafted drinks available, the renovated store will be equipped with new intelligent digital menu boards. These intelligent screens, which are positioned both behind the inside counter and at the street-facing counter, ensure product information from Costa Coffee’s menu can be updated quickly and efficiently.

Introducing the half-caffeine option for coffee lovers to enjoy

The newly renovated store will also be offering customers the chance to personalise the amount of caffeine in their signature handcrafted coffee: standard caffeine, half-caffeine or decaf. With absolutely no compromise on taste, the newly developed Intensely Rich Half-Caffeine Coffee is delivered with the help of a state-of-the-art grinder, which can cleverly accommodate multiple blends.

Jamie Awdry, Head of Propositions at Costa Coffee, said: “We’re delighted to have reopened the Costa Coffee store in West Hampstead and can’t wait to start welcoming back members of the local community. Costa Coffee looks to provide customers with a range of choices, and this store does that; from the half-caffeine option, the street-facing service counter and the true standout feature; the dedicated work zones – a first for Costa Coffee in the UK and an extremely exciting new addition for customers to enjoy!

“The safety of our team members and customers continues to be our number one priority and, in line with UK government guidelines, we’re delighted to be opening our indoor seating areas and dedicated work zones for our customers to use from Monday 17 May”.
