LONDON, UK — Costa Coffee is once again joining forces with Keep Britain Tidy throughout March and April in support of the Great British Spring Clean. As well as store teams hosting litter pick events across the country, Costa Coffee wants to encourage more people to recycle their used takeaway cups at any of their 2,600 plus UK stores.
This will be the fourth year running that Costa Coffee has supported the Great British Spring Clean campaign. Over 250 litter pick events were hosted by team members last year during the 2018 #GBSpringClean.
Costa Coffee are also delighted with the Great British Spring Clean’s campaign message this year, which encourages people to both collect litter, and recycle it wherever possible. #LitterHeroes who collect takeaway cups during their litter pick will be encouraged to take them into any Costa Coffee store, where they will be recycled as part of the brand’s nationwide cup recycling programme.
As a supporter of Keep Britain Tidy and the Great British Spring Clean, Costa Coffee hopes to help inspire 500,000 people to join forces to collect and safely dispose of litter from their doorsteps, recycling as much as they can.

Each of our stores acts as a recycling point, giving coffee lovers and #LitterHeroes across the UK the opportunity to dispose of takeaway cups, no matter their brand, in a responsible way.”
The Great British Spring Clean will run from 22nd March – 23rd April 2019.
