Costa coffee has recently unveiled it’s another new store design concept in Chongqing, the Southwest China. As Costa’s second largest market China is Costa’s ‘second home’, since last November it has started the redesign of Costa’s original store in China, starting with the store on Nanjing Road East in Shanghai, which been restyled with London inspired heritage and modernity blending beautifully with the brand DNA.
The new designed store is located at the basement of Chongqing Time Square, which is one of the most luxury shopping malls in the region.
The Costa new store design project has captured the essence of London heritage and modernity, by taking London’s famous exterior architecture and utilizing that as inspiration for the interior design.
In the newly opened Times Square Chongqing store, the significant COSTA red logo has been significantly outstanding with the light grey façade.
The coffee counter was built of the traditional British crittall window decorative above counter’s ceiling, the warm walnut timber deco with simple& elegant brass lines, have blended perfectly with the marble counter and mattcrystal glass wall. Inside the store, the beautiful contrast played on the texture among the timber and tile on the wall and floor.
The installation of the modern metal mirrorthat played on geometrical of the letter “C” , combined with the vibrant wall color and the traditional Chesterfield sofa, has perfectly showcased the soul of London, where COSTA was born since 1971.
To celebrate the opening, Tony Huang, the Champion of COSTA Barista of the Year 2013 Worldwide, as the guest of honor on that day, has hosted a ‘Coffee MasterClass’ to demonstrate how to identify and taste the coffee bean through coffee cupping section.
