Coffee roaster Counter Culture Coffee, founded and headquartered in Durham, NC, will open its Charleston, SC, Training Center this July. The coffee lab will serve as a community hub for the public and local coffee professionals.
Most recently home to boutique design agency FuzzCo, the railroad-style building will have one room dedicated to espresso, one exclusively for cuppings and one for the latest in coffee equipment.
Every Friday, the public will be welcome to attend a free coffee tasting at 10am as part of their Tasting@Ten event held at all nine training centers across the country.
Counter Culture has a long-standing relationship in Charleston, and can be found in many local coffee shops, restaurants and specialty grocers including City Lights Coffee, Black Tap, The Muddy Water Coffee Bar, Edmund’s Oast, Bull Street Gourmet and many more.
Outside of its Durham, NC, headquarters, Charleston was one of the first markets the roaster entered, and they are looking forward to offering further training and coffee labs to the many coffee professionals in the area.
