HAVANA – From 14 to 17 April 2015, in Havana, the International Conference Centre, Cuba, will host the International Agroforestry Convention, which is integrated by the following events: 6th Forestry Congress of Cuba, the II International Congress of Coffee and Cacao, and the VI International Meeting of Young Researchers.
For four days, researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, producers, journalists, among other actors in the forestry, coffee and cocoa supply chains, exchange information and experiences on core issues of agroforestry science.
Discussions will be conducted in different modalities such as oral presentations, posters and thematic conferences that will focus on the issues that are listed below:
- Forests and society
- Forests, biodiversity and ecosystem services
- Forests and climate change
- Forests and water Interactions
- Forest biomass and bioenergy
- Forests and production
- Forest protection, integrated pest and disease management
- Production of coffee and cocoa
- Sustainable technologies of agricultural production: agroforestry and agroproductive systems
- Management of coffee and cocoa plantations
- Quality, benefit, by-products and industry of coffee and cocoa
- Integrated management of soils and nutrients

Abstract Submission: November 30, 2014
Delivery of full papers: January 31, 2015
Guidelines for abstract submission
Maximum 250 words in Arial 12-point font, indicating an objective, the status of results and main conclusions. Do not include tables, figures and references. When sending, indicate if proposing as an oral presentation or poster, and the topic being postulated.
Note that the Scientific Committee has the right to sort by subject and prioritise which ones are more suitable for presentation as a poster or oral presentations, based on the focus of the paper.
