SEOUL, South Korea – Dale Harris, the national champion from United Kingdom has become the 2017 World Barista Champion.
It’s been an exciting four days in Seoul, with competitors from 58 countries taking to the stage at the WBC, hosted by Cafe Show and title-sponsored by Ediya Coffee.
The Coex Exhibition Centre in the Gangnam area was brimming with energy from 9-12 November, with baristas preparing 4 espressos, 4 milk drinks, and 4 original signature drinks to exacting standards in 15 minutes.
The 2017 World Barista Championship finals ranking were as follows:
- Dale Harris – United Kingdom
- Miki Suzuki – Japan
- Kapo Chiu – Hong Kong
- Ben Put – Canada
- Hugh Kelly – Australia
- Kyle Ramage – USA
Four of the six competitors had already made appearances in the finals of previous WBCs.
