MILAN – The itinerant event will be held at Veronero Caffè, in Bari. On that occasion, Oran Gutan Coffee will be tasted, fruit of a project for sustainable farming Dalla Corte contributes to by providing farmers with equipment and education.

“Io bevo caffè di qualità” – offering a real full immersion into the aromas and tastes of coffee and some of its most widespread coffee extraction methods – is taking place in Bari on 29 November.

The venue is the elegant Veronero Caffè, owned by Francesco, Antonio and Vincenzo Scarangelli, a place where coffee is always under the spotlight – the ideal environment for an initiative destined to people who already know and work with coffee, people who love it and would like to know more about it, and people who want to be amazed in discovering an unexpected triumph of tastes and preparations.

The itinerant events on the world of coffee were created by the coffee experts Andrej Godina (PhD in Science, Technology and Economics in Coffee Industry) and Francesco Sanapo, who came sixth in the World Barista Championship last May in Melbourne, Australia.

Perfect espressos Coffees will be produced with the espresso, filter and aeropress methods. Dalla Corte, sponsor of the event, will provide a 3-group dc pro espresso machine – which ensures the right temperature of extraction of any type of coffee under any conditions, thanks to its original multi-boiler technology – and three extremely precise dc one on demand grinders – in which burrs move one-hundredth of a millimeter for each click of the adjuster.

If they are connected through a serial cable, the devices create a complete “system” for the preparation of the espresso, from bean to cup. The constant dialogue between each single brewing group and the coffee grinder it is connected with can monitor the extraction and, if necessary, automatically adjust grind and dose, providing a perfect espresso under any condition and helping baristas’ work.

Taste and…eat The event is taking place from 4 to 7 p.m.. Participants will have the chance to taste single-origin and specialty coffees, get to know their Countries of origin and try interesting combinations of coffee and food. One of the specialties to be tasted is Oran Gutan Coffee, the first organic coffee production resulting from a project aimed at safeguarding Sumatran tropical forest and orangutans through coffee sustainable and organic farming, thus contributing to the preservation of the old-growth forest.

Dalla Corte has contributed to this project by providing farmers with its equipment, as well as with continuous education/training and advice. This coffee is characterized by spicy notes and can go well together with a small chunk of Parmigiano Reggiano and some high quality pink pepper: a combination worth trying. The event is being closed by an “explosive” experience: an aperitif based on oysters, coffee and sparkling wine: who says that a good espresso must be drunk only in the morning or after a meal?
