MILAN, Italy – Dalla Corte is welcoming all baristas and coffee professionals at Riminifiera from 23 to 27 January (pavilion A1 – booth 052) on occasion of Sigep 2016 exhibition. The “Make It Better” brand line will stand out in the colourful, dynamic booth, and so will the new corporate colours, logo and image combining vivacity with Dalla Corte’s well-known reliability and innovation features.
Mina one-group espresso machine (in the picture above) will be under the spotlight: it is entering the market next March, after several months of success all over the world.
Mina has actually been winning the most demanding users over, since they can check any extraction stage manually to personalize coffees to their tastes and thus obtain the best cup profile. The exclusive patented DFR (Digital Flow Regulation) technology provides electronic water flow control in any extraction stage.
By lowering the lever yoke, the user increases the pressure of water flowing through the coffee cake up to 9 bar. Mina provides the best performance also when working in automatic mode, which provides constantly perfect espressos.
Mina’s success is due to its pleasant, linear looks and to its innovative features, such as the lever yoke and the customizable sides and back panel. Personalizing options range from the standard Black, White, Glass and Yellow body colours to innovative, refined finishes and materials such as wood, metal and glass.
During the exhibition, Mina will undergo several “costume changes” and strike all visitors with its beauty and creativity, while dc coffee pro Johnny Jeon will put the machine at the disposal of anyone who wants to try and use it.
Workshops
Many workshops and cupping sessions with the best experts in the sector will start each afternoon at 2 p.m.. On Saturday 23rd and Tuesday 26th, Giuseppe Musiu, “Work Up” coffee school trainer, will run a “Latte Art Advance” workshop.
On Sunday 24th, Simone Guidi will explain manual extraction methods and introduce the brewing competitions basics. Moreover, on Monday 25th SCAE authorized trainer Andrea Matarangolo will carry out a Proof of Taste using specialty coffees from Ethiopia, Indonesia e Brazil.
Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits + Blackboard: the Contest
Another magnet in the exhibition is evo2 Blackboard espresso machine, with its blackboard-looking surface on which one can write or draw to give vent to their creativity.
The trainer Simone Guidi will be at visitors’ disposal every day to introduce them to or make them improve their latte art techniques, and the 2013 Coffee in Good Spirits World Champion Victor Delpierre will provide workshops on coffee mixability every afternoon.
Baristas and coffee lovers are all invited to try to create their decorations, since the best creations in each session will be photographed and posted on Facebook.
The authors of latte art decoration and coffee-based cocktail getting more “likes” will then be awarded a training session at the Company, in Milan, with two big names of the sector: the Italian Latte Art Champion Andrea Antonelli and the world Coffee in Good Spirits finalist Francesco Corona.
Two baristas who started with this contest have actually reached the Italian Latte Art final – Elisa Urdich in 2015 and Marco Carrieri in 2016.
The Machines of the Champions
On Sunday 24, Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 January Dalla Corte machines – official sponsor of the Italian SCAE Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits finals with its dc pro Industrial Titanium series – will play a key role in the Italian Barista Championship area (Pav. D1).
The Art Bar challenge is opening the contests on January 24. In this challenge, free cappuccino decorations are “blindly judged” – i.e. the jury judges them without knowing who their author is. On that same afternoon, Latte Art competitions are starting, while their finals are taking place on the 26th, along with Coffee and Good Spirits finals: watching competitors and their “acrobatics” with pitchers and shakers will is a thrilling experience indeed.
At the end of the competitions, the winners will be proclaimed and will have the chance to compete in the World Final scheduled from 29 March to 1 April 2016 in Shangai (China).
