Miranda Schneider and Drew Rumley want Dat Cat Café to be the first cat café in New Orleans and Louisiana. A place where cat enthusiasts can sip on delicious coffee, relax, and play with amazing and adoptable rescue cats.

In order to make Dat Cat Café a reality, Schneider and Rumley started a Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this campaign is to make $20,000 by July 25, 2015.

The highlight of the café is “The Playroom,” where guests will pay for access to the cat play-area.

All the cats will be properly examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and of course screened for temperament and their interaction with other cats before being available to the public. This is all with the hopes of finding these adorable felines a permanent and loving home.

Schneider, Rumley and their associates will partner with A.R.N.O. (Animal Rescue New Orleans) and other local, no kill rescue groups and individuals to adopt an array of cats that live and have the ability to roam free in the cafe.

Giving these animals a safe and nurturing place for them to stay, until someone wants to adopt them. This cafe not only gives cat lovers a place to enjoy coffee but gives a place for cats to be loved.

To help launch Dat Cat Café, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks will be delivered between Sept and Oct of 2015.

For anyone that is not familiar with how Kickstarter works, this is an “all-or-nothing” deal. If the campaign does not reach the goal then the project cannot move forward and the Dat Cat Café project will not receive any financial support.

So know that any amount given counts. Help spread the word about this place to enjoy amazing coffee and adoptable, rescue cats by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks.
