SEOUL, South Korea — Demand for coffee delivery is soaring in South Korea, reports The Korea Bizwire. Recent data show that orders are high in areas with many office buildings as well as rental housing zones. According to the Coffee Index tabulated by the food delivery app Baedal Minjok, the most popular place for coffee delivery is Nonhyeon 1-dong in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
Following close behind were Yeoksam 1-dong in Gangnam and Seocho 4-dong in Seocho district.
“The areas where offices are concentrated or where income is high are at the top of the list,” said Baedal Minjok.
Officials from the delivery application added that “It seems that three factors are driving demand for coffee delivery: a concentration of offices, neighborhoods with many single-person households, and high-income areas.”
