MILAN — Digital Coffee Future is hosting the Traceability Summit 2021 on October 28th and 29th. This summit will serve to discuss the opportunities, challenges, and conditions for success in the adoption of digital traceability throughout the coffee value chain. Digital Traceability is much more than just a Buzzword. It needs a definition!

This online virtual event will enable coffee professionals across the globe to gather for multiple informational discussions, in both Spanish and English, on the topic of digital traceability.

As coffee cooperatives and farmer organizations, tech providers, traders, and roasters are working to improve traceability efforts in their own fields, it is clear that coffee traceability is a necessary and rapidly growing trend within the sector.

For the successful implementation of these tactics, every actor in the value chain must be included and represented in these discussions, and the Digital Coffee Future Traceability Summit 2021 will enable just that.

Through two days full of panel discussions, virtual meet-ups, and networking opportunities, participants will be able to directly address technological innovations and discuss why traceability and digitalization play a key role in the future of the coffee industry.

Among the different guest speakers that will represent the many voices of the sector, the event includes Amanda Eastwood from Westrock Coffee, Jésus Salazar Velasco from Caféologo, Julio Guevara from Perfect Daily Grind, Karla Boza from Grounds for Empowerment, David Paparelli from m-cultivo, Tania Ferrufino from Sabio Coffee, Michael Sheridan from Intelligentsia, Karl Wienhold from Cedro Alto, Mateja Dermastia from Anteja ECG, Eduardo Baltodano from MOI Solutions and, Ever Meister and Suzannah Hoban, as independent professionals. More speakers will be announced soon.

The event is sponsored by Ecom Trading, Root Capital, Koltiva, Savor Brands, Baratza, GIZ, Beyco, La Finca Distribution, Mercon and Cropster.

Digital Coffee Future is an interactive virtual community for the discussion and knowledge-sharing on coffee digitalization. Founded in 2020, DCF’s goal is to push an inclusive approach to the generating of connection and conversation in the creation of a sustainable path towards the future of coffee.
