DUBLIN, Ireland – Times are changing in the world of Coffee. It used to be that if you wanted to drink a top-quality coffee you had to go out to cafes and bars, spending far too much money on far too little coffee. Now however, especially in today’s chaotic climate, more and more people are starting to put down their instant coffee and start using proper barista equipment and techniques in their homes.

But with so many different sources of information, it’s hard to know who to listen to and who to trust when it comes to getting educated online.

The team at Drink In has devised a solution

Drink In is the world’s first one-stop-shop for drinks education online. Built on the foundation of a network of barista and bartending academies in Ireland and Spain, Drink In has collected a star team of experts in their fields from all the major drinks industries. On their platform they will offer a wide range of live classes, workshops, HD video content, tastings and more.

Members will also be invited to regular ‘Drink In Retreats’: week-long experiences in Dublin and Palma de Mallorca. These involve tours and tastings, visits to local roasters, masterclasses with local baristas and much more, all designed to give a real flavor of the drinks culture of the cities in which Drink In was born. It will also offer members the chance to meet and share an exquisite coffee and more with the instructors and other members of the platform, once restrictions are lifted.

However, the team doesn’t plan to stop at providing top quality drinks education online. The main goal of Drink In is to compile all the world’s drink knowledge into an accessible and constantly growing library. What’s more, they plan to grow a thriving community hub where experts, professionals and enthusiasts from around the world will be able to connect, share and innovate.

“There is no joy in owning anything unshared” is the founder of Drink In: Richard Linden’s motto,

“Eventually we want our platform to out-grow us, to become a home for all the world’s drinks knowledge that anyone anywhere has access to at the click of a button.”

Drink In is offering substantial perks to coffee connoisseurs and blooming baristas that support the platform in its crowdfunding stage on Indiegogo. More information can be found here.
