“We have now established partnerships to launch DUG Barista in the HORECA sector, and the response at SIGEP has been phenomenal. Our DUG ambassador in Italy, Davide Cobelli, is working on setting up distribution in the country, and we are eager to bring DUG to the coffee and HORECA sector in Italy. DUG Barista is not only lactose-free, gluten-free, and low in sugars, but it also meets the needs of many consumers. According to a study published in The Lancet in 2017, approximately 72% of Italians have some form of lactose intolerance,” says Helene Nielsen, CEO, DUG Foodtech.

DUG was honoured to have Ivan De Rosa, renowned barista and latte art grading system world champion (2022 Green Jug, 2024 Red Jug), as part of our team at SIGEP. His specialty coffee expertise and latte art mastery attracted a strong audience to the DUG booth, where he showcased the versatility of DUG Barista in crafting high-quality coffee beverages.
