NASHVILLE, TN, U.S. — Nashville International Airport continues to delight travelers by bringing the city’s charm into the airport. A distinct member of Nashville’s 8th Avenue / Melrose neighborhood is now represented in the airport with the opening of 8th & Roast Coffee Co. by global restaurateur HMSHost.
Located in the airport’s Concourse C, 8th & Roast serves house roasted coffee and espresso, as well as freshly made grab & go sandwiches, soups, salads, and pastries for which the brand is so well-known.
“HMSHost is thrilled to bring 8th & Roast to Nashville travelers with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Kent Vanden Oever.
“It is exciting to continue to blur the line between the airport and the local community with great Nashville-based food and beverage companies.”
8th & Roast began serving Nashville in 2009, and continues to build a following as a coffeehouse with a carefully crafted espresso and coffee program.
The business also operates as a craft coffee roaster producing in-house roasted coffee for wholesale customers. 8th & Roast’s coffee is hand-selected and acquired directly through producing country supply chains.
The team secures the best quality coffees at harvest and maintains that quality all the way to the cup.
“We’ve always believed that the airport is the front door of Nashville, and it’s really exciting that we’re joining their growing list of local offerings. We appreciate the opportunity to expose thousands of daily travelers to the craft coffee experience,” said Ed Reed, owner of 8th & Roast.
“8th & Roast is known for providing quality products for people on the go, so travelers to and from Nashville can count on fresh, delicious offerings and coffee that’s been roasted and brewed with care.”
Menu features at the airport reflect the street location. Travelers can enjoy a variety of 8th & Roast’s signature menu items, including breakfast items like burritos, muffins, and scones, as well as sandwiches, salads, vegan and vegetarian offerings, and pastries.
“We are delighted to welcome another local restaurant to Nashville International Airport – 8th & Roast Coffee Co., operated by our long-time partner HMSHost,” said Doug Kreulen, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority president and CEO.
“BNA is known for its reflection of Music City, and locals and visitors alike are sure to enjoy 8th & Roast’s house-roasted coffees and food offerings. Congratulations.”
HMSHost operates several restaurants at Nashville International Airport, providing original and regional dining experiences to travelers such as Berry Field Bistro, Tennessee Tavern, Gibson Café, the new Fat Bottom Brewing and the recently expanded Yazoo Beer, and more.
