Tomer Harpaz, CEO of Strauss Coffee (Strauss Group’s international coffee company), has recently announced  the appointment of a new CEO of Strauss Coffee Israel.

Nadav Arens, who has served as CEO of Strauss Coffee Israel (SCI) for the past seven years, has asked to leave his position in favor of exploring new opportunities in or outside Strauss Group.

Elad Komissar, who until recently served as VP Business Development in Strauss Group, will be appointed CEO of the coffee company in Israel and is slated to assume the position at the beginning of 2018.

Tomer Harpaz: “I am proud of the fact that our company is developing and growing, together with our people. Nadav Arens, who has held a series of management positions, is ending his term of office as SCI CEO as the company delivers very strong performance. Under his leadership the coffee company in Israel posted approximately 20% growth in net sales and operating profit and human and professional infrastructure was built, which forms a significant component of our global coffee expertise. Elad Komissar is highly familiar with the coffee category and with Strauss Coffee, possesses considerable business acumen, is skilled in leading complex business processes and in making things happen while managing interfaces in order to accomplish goals. I am certain that Elad, together with SCI’s excellent management team, will continue to be a significant driving force in the continued development of our global coffee expertise, in innovation and in the realization of our strategy at Strauss Coffee.

Elad, married and father of four, holds an LL.B. and an MBA from London Business School.

After filling a number of senior position in international companies, for the past six years Elad served as Strauss Group’s VP Business Development, in which capacity he led strategic moves and complex business initiatives, which include the acquisition of the noncontrolling interest (TPG) in Strauss Coffee, the establishment and management of The Kitchen FoodTech hub, sale of the Max Brenner operation and others.
