LONDON – Following a majority vote from the election which closed on Friday 8th November, SCAE is pleased to announce the composition of the the new National Committee for SCAE UK.
- Membership Coordinator : Jonathan Wadham
- Education Coordinators: Tim Sturk and Ben Townsend
- Events Coordinator: Denise Hall
- Communication Coordinator : Chloe Callow
A further election will be held for the National Coordinator position in 2014
“Thank you to all of our members who voted and put their names forward to support the team, our membership manager Jayne Richards will pass these on to the new committee.
We are confident that with a strong team and a lot of enthusiastic volunteers we will lead the SCAE UK Chapter forward, supported by the SCAE Board and Executive team” SCAE said in a statement.
About SCAE UK
SCAE UK is one national chapter of the parent Speciality Coffee Association of Europe. There are currently 40 chapters throughout Europe – all of whom compete in the world championships.
Together with the SCAA (Speciality Coffee Association of American) and the AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association (AASCA) these organisations encompass every area of the coffee industry, from growers and importers to roasters and baristas.
SCAE UK is an organisation open to anyone with a passion for coffee.
Its core activities include running the UK Barista Championships, Latte Art, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cezve / Ibrik, UK Brewers Cup and UK Cup Tasting Events.
