BELFORTE DEL CHIENTI (Italy) – Newly arrived in North America are the first examples of the VA388 Black Eagle, the new Victoria Arduino espresso machine, fully designed and manufactured in the Italian workshop of Nuova Simonelli where the new ‘on demand’ coffee grinder Mythos One is also produced. After the debut of the prototype at HOST in Milan, the North American market can admire and see the new machine in operation. Its form and technology is designed to fit well into successful locales, for a clientele that likes to enjoy specialty coffees.
For this first tour the VA388 Black Eagle, together with the innovative Mythos One, has dates in four cities in the United States of America: Tuesday, April 22 in New York City, at Counter Culture Training Center in Soho from 15 – 18:00; Wednesday, April 23 in Kansas City at the new Kaldi’s Coffee Roasting Co. Regional Training and Community Coffee Center from 18:00, Friday, April 25 in Seattle, at Roy Street Coffee and Tea and finally on Tuesday, April 29 in San Francisco, at Bluebottle.
At all four dates the guest of honour will be Colin Harmon, the barista champion with the most Irish titles and the event in Seattle will also feature the 2007 World Barista Champion, James Hoffmann.
After helping to write the history of Italian espresso in the twentieth century Victoria Arduino, with the VA388 Black Eagle, is writing the future now. The latest creation from the famous Made in Italy brand has identified – in Victoria Arduino style – classicism and modernity. The VA388 Black Eagle utilizes and goes beyond all the well known and valued studies that the Nuova Simonelli team introduced into the Aurelia II, the official coffee machine for the world championship for baristas. In addition to the already proven T3 technology in Nuova Simonelli’s Aurelia II and other Victoria Arduino machines such as Adonis and Theresia, the VA 388 Black Eagle in its latest verison includes the new gravimetric technology, designed to open doors for the “coffee specialist”.
