MOSCOW, Russian Federation – A few more days and a new edition of PIR EXPO will start, in Moscow from 5-8 October. PIR EXPO is the largest professional event in Russia for HoReCa professionals. Each year, the exhibition brings together leading manufacturers and suppliers of products, solutions and services for the hospitality industry, as well as restaurateurs and hoteliers from Russia and the CIS countries.
During the event, visitors will have an opportunity to gather complete information on the latest market trends, products and innovations, taking part in the more than 300 events including seminars and competitions.
Among the numerous events, a huge expectation is reserved to the final chapter of the exciting Russian Coffee Cup championship, where teams of coffee houses (each one made of three baristas) will compete for the title of the best coffee house in Russia.
Russian Coffee Cup is the first championship among coffeehouse teams in Russia, which has been taking place for the seventh year now. The main principle lies in the fact that are teams of coffee shops compete with each other, not baristas. In the final, the winners of the qualifying rounds, who have proven to be the best in their region, will compete for the title of the best coffeehouse team in the country.

Participants will show their professional skills in making coffee and coffee drinks, demonstrate knowledge of all the intricacies of specialty coffee and show creativity, using the super-performing on-demand grinder Helios 80 for espresso extractions and Atom Pro for filter ones, both coffee grinders developed by Eureka 1920, the main sponsor of the competition.
