FLORENCE, Italy — Eureka aims its high-end products at its international market with a new generation of coffee grinders featured under the “Eureka Oro” brand. As a result of significant investment in R&D, the launch of the new brand coincided with the company’s 100th anniversary in 2020 and now guarantees seamless high performing levels in coffee griding. Among many technological advantages, it boasts a new design and burr material which results from a long streak of taste tests aimed at satisfying the professionals’ ever-changing and complex needs.

All products of the “Eureka Oro” line are equipped with special patented burrs

“Diamond Inside”, which allow for longer preservation thanks to its geometric cut, maintaining a uniform grain size even for larger quantities of coffee.

“Baristas are constantly looking for products that are very fast and able to guarantee an excellent quality for every type of coffee”, states Eureka’s Managing Director, Maurizio Fiorani. “We have worked hard to produce high-performing machines with unprecedented levels of silence, and above all, to build an innovative system of internet connectivity (Iot) that enables the user to remotely adjust the grinding parameters, thereby monitoring operation and consumption in real time.

This is a big advantage for the roaster, the distributor and the barista, who can always deal and interact with the machine thanks to the specific applications”.

The first Eureka Oro product to be released on the market is the Mignon XL

A premium item with 65 mm grinders of the famous Mignon – the iconic coffee grinder of the Florentine company which acts as a true benchmark for the International prosumer segment. The dimensions are slightly larger than in the classic version, already known by professionals for its versatility, and enhanced now by the contemporary design of the architect Roberto Paoli. This makes Mignon XL particularly suitable to meet customer’s needs directly at home – a market segment that grew by 20% this year in the international arena.

“The new products significantly extend our offering and facilitate a new, fast-growing market,” continues Maurizio Fiorani. “We are talking about a private segment, consisting of all those people fascinated by the coffee quality and who, in their own homes, recreate the conditions for professionally made coffee.

This is a consumer type that can be defined as “home barista”, which has gained significant traction in the most advanced markets (Germany, Northern Europe, North America) as a consequence of the current pandemic.
In this scenario we played key roles and had the chance to open new sales horizons internationally, consolidating our position as a brand of reference for the home barista channel”.

Technical information about Mignon XL by Eureka Oro

The Mignon XL by Eureka Oro offers a superior grinding quality thanks to the “Diamond Inside” burrs (Eureka patented) that preserve the optimal geometry of the cutting part in the long term, ensuring a more constant grain size over time. The upgraded motor is combined with 65 mm burrs and guarantees professional performance (3 g/s). Mignon XL is equipped with an ELR system that ensures very low retention of coffee in the grinding chamber and consistency of the dose equal to about 0.2 g. Noise reduction is also optimal thanks to the “Silent Technology”, which allows to reach a noise level of just below 60 dB. On the maintenance front, the innovative “High Speed” system enables particularly fast care, with no risk of losing the grinding adjustment. The universal fork is rubber-coated for “Hands-Free” operations, adjustable in height and adaptable to all types of filter holders. Finally, the equipment includes the “Mignon Mat Kit” for optimal cleaning of the coffee corner, both for professional and recreational use.
