Good three months before Eu’Vend & coffeena 2015, the event is already casting a long shadow. When the international vending and coffee trade fair opens its doors at the Cologne fair grounds from 24 to 26 September, alongside business and networking it will, of course, also be about the developments and innovations within the industry.
In order to particularly emphasise this, in cooperation with the German Vending Association (BDV), the conceptual sponsor of Eu’Vend & coffeena, Koelnmesse awards the ‘Vending Star’ Innovation Prize during the trade fair.
The prize will be awarded in four categories for the first time this year: ‘Auxiliary devices used to operate vending machines’, ‘Innovative vending machine product’, ‘Concept’ and ‘Technical Appliances’ An international jury of experts has now nominated three applicants per category. The prize winners of the ‘Vending Star 2015’ will be announced at the “Eu’Vend & coffeena Night” on 25 September 2015.
Up until mid-May, companies from the vending industry were called upon to submit their innovations and latest product developments for the ‘Vending Star’.
For the expert jury, comprising of Helmut J. Düvel (CA Vending Krugmann GmbH & Co KG), Dr. Aris Kaschefi (BDV), Hans-Jürgen Krone (Lebensmittel Praxis Verlag), Ralf Lang (JAM Verlag), Asim Loncaric (Forum Zeitschriften) Michal Piotrowiak (Mastercup Vending, Poland), Matthias Schlüter (Koelnmesse), Eric Schwaab (Vending Report), Wolfgang Schwarzenberger (Dallmayr Automaten-Service serviPlus), Gerald Steger (café+co International, Austria), Gerold Stüwer (Stüwer GmbH) and Jan Marck Vrijlandt (Selecta Group), selecting the nominees was once again a difficult task.
After examining the numerous applications closely and evaluating them, the decisions have now been taken. Once again, the focus of the nominations was placed on innovative power, added value and the entries’ suitability for everyday use.

The ‘Vending Stars 2015’ of the respective category will be awarded at a festive ceremony during the ‘Eu’Vend & coffeena Night’ on 25 September 2015 at the Rheinterrassen. All of the nominated entries will be presented to the trade visitors on the ‘Vending Innovation Area’ at Eu’Vend & coffeena.
