COLOGNE, Germany — Since 2003, Eu’Vend has taken place biannually in Cologne, and in conjunction with coffeena since 2011. At the last event in 2017, 188 exhibitors from 22 countries were present & about 4,500 trade visitors took the opportunity to obtain new information, place orders and network around the relevant topics for vending and coffee.
Numerous companies from all the relevant segments have already applied to participate in the 2019 event, including the key players in vending and table top machine manufacturing, as well as payment systems and product suppliers.
Against the background of changing worlds of work a special focus of Eu’Vend & coffeena 2019 lies on the OCS segment. In the scope of a newly designed Office Lounge, brand name companies will present solutions for the provision of customers and employees in the office as well as new trends and concepts in this section.
The German Coffee Association also sees opportunities for growth in this section, because one quarter of the overall annual coffee consumption is consumed away from home – with an upwards trend. In terms of volume, the workplace accounts for around two thirds of the out-of-home sales market. To-date just under 60 percent of the employers offer coffee in their companies – whether with or without a charge.
As such, 40 percent of the employers still don’t provide coffee. Exhibitors of Eu’Vend & coffeena see a lot of business potential in the OCS market and will present new products that can be easily integrated into the office, hotels or hospitals. Other trends such as unattended retail, more high-quality products as well as concepts for non-food vending will be presented at the fair.
As with the previous editions, the European Vending & Coffee Service Association will share its stand with the German Vending Association (BDV) – the conceptual sponsor of Eu’Vend – to provide information on our ongoing work, and to liaise with members. EVA will also participate to the event through delivering a presentation about the latest trends and figures of the European markets.
