PŁOCK, Poland – ORLEN invites everyone to join in supporting the 33rd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP). Taking part is simple: just purchase a coffee at any ORLEN service station. Olympic champion Anita Włodarczyk lends her support to promoting the campaign. With every cup of coffee purchased at an ORLEN service station throughout January, customers will contribute to the 33rd Finale of WOŚP, which this year is dedicated to raising funds for paediatric haematology and oncology wards across Poland.

ORLEN will donate PLN 1 from each coffee sold towards the fundraising initiative. The campaign will run until 31 January 2025, with all funds raised helping the WOŚP Foundation to procure cutting-edge diagnostic equipment for medical facilities nationwide.

“When we mobilised our customers to support flood victims by donating an entire weekend’s coffee sales, the response was both overwhelming and exceptionally positive. This time, we are proud to support a noble initiative focused on children, providing all our customers with an opportunity to participate in Poland’s largest and most renowned charitable event.

With nearly 2,000 ORLEN service stations across the country and tens of thousands of customers served daily, we have a tremendous capacity to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives. We are confident that our customers will enthusiastically embrace this initiative,” said Piotr Suchodolski, Marketing Director at ORLEN.

Research indicates that over 70% of ORLEN’s customers view its partnership with WOŚP positively. To additionally mark the 33rd Finale’s fundraising efforts, specially designed coffee cups adorned with WOŚP-themed motifs will be available at ORLEN service stations. Customers may also contribute by donating directly to WOŚP collection boxes located near the cash registers.

The campaign slogan, “Every Coffee Makes a Difference,” highlights the power of collective action. Its central figure is an elderly woman who, from her vantage point near her local ORLEN service station, carefully counts the coffees purchased in support of this meaningful cause. The message is clear: everyone can participate in WOŚP, regardless of their background – be it a professor, a retiree, a teenager, or… an Olympic champion. Members of the ORLEN Team, led by Anita Włodarczyk as ambassador, are also playing an active role in supporting the initiative.

Funds raised during the 33rd Finale of WOŚP will enable medical facilities across Poland to enhance their equipment, benefitting 18 paediatric wards, 17 hospices, 5 neurosurgical oncology centres, 6 surgical oncology centres, and 4 pathology laboratories.

Since its inception, WOŚP has organised 32 Finales, raising nearly PLN 2.3 billion and funding the purchase of 74,500 medical devices. The most recent campaign in January 2024 focused on combating lung diseases and raised approximately PLN 282 million, thanks to the dedicated efforts of WOŚP local coordination centres, volunteers, and donors.
