HAMBURG, Germany – “Exploring new territory”. That is the watchword of INTERNORGA, to be held at the Hamburg Trade Fair for five days from 9 to 13 March 2018. Trade visitors at the leading international trade show for the whole of the out-of-home market can look forward to a world full of inspiration – visionary concepts and trailblazing innovations, showcased on 100,000 square metres of exhibition space.

The size and diversity of the show opens up new potential for visitors to enhance their own business. INTERNORGA is a trend catalyst and the most important industry meeting point – a must for market leaders, top-level decision makers and newcomers from restaurants and food service, hotels, bakeries and confectioneries.

More than 1,300 international exhibitors are expected again in 2018, as in the previous year. All stand space is already fully booked. Last year INTERNORGA attracted more than 96,000 trade visitors from Germany and the whole of the world.

Claudia Johannsen, Business Unit Director at Hamburg Messe und Congress, looks forward eagerly to INTERNORGA 2018: “As the organiser of this leading trade show, we invariably set very high standards for ourselves and for INTERNORGA.

We aim to inspire our trade visitors with exclusive insights and product innovations. That’s why we work in close cooperation with the industry and the exhibitors.

Their expertise enables INTERNORGA to present innovations from the whole of the out-of-home market, to give trigger key ideas, and to create a truly European industry meeting point. We look forward to the many trade visitors and exhibitors at INTERNORGA 2018.

Trailblazer for trends

INTERNORGA never fails to inspire the industry with creative presentation formats. There will be more exclusive specials, for visitors to explore up-to-the-minute trend topics and visionary concepts.

The CRAFT BEER Arena, for example, showcases more than 30 national and international breweries with their artisan beers. The Newcomers’ Area is another highlight, with young entrepreneurs making their market entry and presenting their innovative products and services for the industry.

Trend researcher Karin Tischer will host the Pink Cube again, with exciting food concepts and innovations from all parts of the world. The Grill & BBQ Court gives trade visitors fresh ideas, while experienced ‘Truckers’ in the Food Truck Village put the spotlight on mobile food service for the future.

The popular bakery formats Baker’s Blue Box and Back Stage are well frequented by experts and newcomers to the bakery sector.

FH Nord will be there again, directly on the INTERNORGA site. It is the meeting point for craft butchers, giving a comprehensive overview of products, production and sales in the meat processing industry, and rounding off the line-up of exhibitors for catering, food service, hotels, bakery and confectionery.

Outstanding international conferences

Visitors can look forward to leading expert speakers at the international conferences – they are real professional highlights of the trade show. The Foodservice Forum is Europe’s biggest conference for professional food service and catering.

The German Institutional Catering Congress presents the latest developments, trends and innovations in the out-of-home market, with analyses and discussions.

Exciting INTERNORGA competitions as career boosters The INTERNORGA competitions are now a well-established part of the programme.

The “Next Chef 2018” will be hosted by INTERNORGA together with celebrity chef Johann Lafer again, following last year’s contest won by Jonas Straube and Maximilian Schultz; lots of entries have already been received for this innovative cooking competition, the third in the Next Chef series.

The Gastro Start-up Competition is hosted by INTERNORGA in cooperation with the Leaders Club Deutschland; it gives young entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to launch their creative concepts at INTERNORGA 2018, and get off to a flying start in the catering and food service industry.

Another eagerly awaited highlight is the presentation of the INTERNORGA Future Award, honouring companies with new products, concepts and visions that set standards for the industry.

It recognises entrepreneurial initiative, courage and inventive ideas.
