Everyone is invited to the three days of study, debate and practice on Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits taking place from 11 to 13 April. The venue of the event is the wide, fully equipped dc loft 127, in Via Candiani 127, Milan

We are “warming up our engines” for the meeting of the best, internationally known baristas in Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits categories. Dalla Corte is now organizing its third dc campus, a useful three-day happening characterized by a very busy schedule including information, training, competition and pleasant socializing moments. Last year’s finalists will vie with the aspiring world champions of the two categories in preparation for the finals scheduled on 15-18 May in Melbourne – Australia and officially sponsored by Dalla Corte with its dc pro espresso machines. It is also interesting to note that, year after year, an increasing number of Italian baristas are eager to immerse themselves into this international atmosphere, to observe the movements and discover the secrets of successful professionals from all over the world, and to get in contact with them.

Latte Art 2013 world champion, the Japanese Hisako Yoshikawa – barista at Ogawa Coffee in Kyoto –, will certainly catch the participants’ attention, particularly when she will be creating the decoration that made her win the world championship: a rose – a beautiful, yet very complex pattern.

Mixology specialists, on the other hand, will have the chance to meet WCIGS winner Victor Delpierre with his CCC (Cognac, Café, Cigar) cocktail made with espresso, cognac, tobacco liqueur – a liqueur made with tobacco flowers – and Grand Marnier.

The 2013 world finalists and the recently awarded 2014 national champions (many national finals will take place just before the Australian finals) will also be present. The group will include Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits Italian champions Chiara Bergonzi and Francesco Corona, both determined to get to the top step of the podium in Melbourne.

Sonja Björk Grant – chief judge and LA and CIGS champions’ trainer – will explain each competition’s rule in detail and banish any possible doubt. She will also introduce participants to the international competitions organized by WCE – World Coffee Events (www.worldcoffeeevents.org) – and detail the competitions that prove most interesting for the finalists.

The official sponsors of World Latte Art and World Coffee in Good Spirits competitions that collaborate with Dalla Corte in organizing the Campus are Mahlkönig (K30 Vario Air coffee grinder) and Urnex, with its cleaning products for coffee machines and grinders.

The details of the event will be available soon. Meanwhile, if you wish to register or need any information, please write an email to dc-campus@dallacorte.com.
