MILAN, Italy – On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025, FAEMA continues the celebrations of its 80th anniversary with a special collaboration that brings together two icons of Italian innovation: FAEMA and Basso Bikes. From April 8–13, the FAEMA Flagship Store in Via Forcella 7, in the heart of the Tortona design district, becomes the meeting point of two worlds that have always shared a deep cultural bond—coffee and cycling.
FAEMA, the legendary Milanese brand of professional coffee machines and a symbol of Italian design and engineering, strengthens its partnership with Basso Bikes, a benchmark in the cycling world for more than 45 years.
Bound by shared values of style, research, and technological evolution, the two brands come together to offer a unique experience that celebrates Italian excellence on two wheels—and in every espresso cup.
Throughout Design Week, the FAEMA Flagship Store will host a curated selection of FAEMA 80×80, the photographic exhibition created to celebrate the brand’s 80th anniversary. This visual narrative traces FAEMA’s evolution through eight decades of innovation, iconic machines, and passion for espresso. The exhibition also reflects the brand’s long-standing connection with the world of cycling, a relationship deeply embedded in its heritage.

The exhibition is curated by MUMAC – the Cimbali Group’s Museum of Coffee Machines in Binasco, where the full collection of images and artifacts dedicated to FAEMA’s legacy is permanently housed.
In the same space, Basso Bikes will showcase some of its most iconic models—masterpieces of performance and design that tell the story of a family-owned Italian brand driven by passion and craftsmanship. Each bike reflects decades of technological advancement and aesthetic precision, offering cycling enthusiasts and design lovers a rare opportunity to admire the timeless beauty of Basso’s frames—while sipping a perfectly crafted Italian espresso.
For decades, FAEMA has stood at the forefront of espresso machine innovation, while Basso Bikes has delivered elite bicycles that marry performance with elegance. These two brands—both proudly Made in Italy—come together not only to celebrate design and technology, but also to pay tribute to a shared culture of dedication, quality, and passion.
Join us at the FAEMA Flagship Store during Milan Design Week for an experience that combines taste and aesthetics in tribute to Made in Italy.
On Sunday, April 13 at 9:00 AM, don’t miss the “Community Espresso Ride – FAEMA X Basso”. Open to all cycling lovers, the event kicks off with a group ride followed by a complimentary Italian breakfast and expertly brewed espresso at the store.

About Faema Art Machine
The FAEMA brand, founded in 1945 in Milan, is part of the Cimbali Group, one of the leading manufacturers of professional espresso machines. Iconic design, technological innovation, commitment to sustainability, and passion for coffee culture are the pillars that guide every creation by FAEMA. The brand offers a diverse range of solutions for cafés, restaurants, hotels, workplaces, and home environments.
FAEMA made history with its lever machines in the 1950s and, in the 1960s, with the FAEMA E61, the first to use a volumetric pump. Thanks to one of Italy’s most iconic designers, Giorgetto Giugiaro, and Italdesign, the FAEMA E91, FAEMA Emblema, the FAEMA E71 series, and the FAEMA President were produced. In 2021, the brand launched the exclusive FAEMINA, a minimal and elegant machine that marked the company’s return to the home segment, targeting consumers and small businesses.
About Basso Bikes
Since 1977, Basso has been synonymous with excellence in creating road and gravel bicycles. Founded by Alcide Basso in Rettorgole di Caldogno, a small town in the province of Vicenza, the company has always pursued a clear goal: to create bicycles that inspire through performance and, above all, the joy of cycling.
For Basso, the perfect ride cannot be measured only in terms of speed, distance, or destination. It’s rather a deeper sensation: being one with your bicycle, experiencing every moment in the saddle with pure pleasure, anywhere and anytime.
Over the years, Basso has maintained its commitment to quality and Italian design, remaining one of the few privately owned, family-run bicycle manufacturers in Italy. Combining timeless elegance and superior performance, Basso bicycles are designed for the most demanding cyclists who seek the best in both performance and style. Each frame is the result of a perfect balance between traditional craftsmanship and technological innovation, ensuring the best equipment for those who want to live their passion.
