FAEMA announces launch of the 1-group  version  E61 CULT:  the coffee icon debuts on new stages

The E61 CULT maintains the fundamentals that made it legendary. The fine materials, iconic design and quality in the cup, unchanged over time, continue to define the E61, now CULT, as an icon in the coffee world. The E61 CULT has therefore entered new contexts and business segments that are not strictly professional and related to coffee shops, such as boutique hotels, in-store coffee corners and private residences, and in all those places where coffee is not the core business

MILAN – FAEMA, a Cimbali Group brand, announces the launch of the E61 CULT, a new version of the most iconic and recognisable coffee machine in the brand’s entire product portfolio. With a proud history and a legacy dating back over 60 years of excellence in the coffee world, the E61 CULT is not just a machine, but a true style icon.

Always admired and chosen by industry professionals, including baristas and coffee connoisseurs, as well as designers, chefs and stars of film, sport and fashion, the E61 still represents a timeless legend thanks to its unmistakable design, so much so that it has been chosen by cafés and restaurants all over the world, including the Louis Vuitton Café in Osaka, Yves Saint Laurent Café in Paris, the Fondazione Prada’s Bar Luce in Milan, and Casa Panerai in Geneva, just to name a few.

Now, FAEMA wants to take this legend to different contexts, offering the opportunity to experience coffee perfection outside the confines of the traditional café.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of the E61 CULT. The name chosen for this variant says it all: the ultimate synthesis of what the E61 has been in its 63 years of existence, first a trendsetter, now iconic and proudly historic. It is a legendary espresso machine that is evolving and renewing itself with its single-phase version, ready to adapt to new contexts and needs, thanks to its single-phase electrical circuit” stresses Andrea Clerici, Global Business Director at Cimbali Group.

The E61 CULT opens up to new business segments

The E61 CULT maintains the fundamentals that made it legendary. The fine materials, iconic design and quality in the cup, unchanged over time, continue to define the E61, now CULT, as an icon in the coffee world. The E61 CULT has therefore entered new contexts and business segments that are not strictly professional and related to coffee shops, such as boutique hotels, in-store coffee corners and private residences, and in all those places where coffee is not the core business. Through a perfect balance of aesthetics, functionality and design, the new 1-group version can offer consumers a consistently high-level coffee experience.

Additionally, the E61 CULT has an installed power that makes it suitable for non-professional environments, and is made even more unique by the wooden aesthetic details, perfectly integrated with the machine’s steel casing and the distinctive red colour of the backlit panel. These distinctive details make it a real dream product and a furnishing element that can dialogue with even the most minimalist styles and shapes. It is a revolutionary machine in which steel, design and technology are harmoniously combined for timeless success.

The history of a revolutionary machine

Milan, 1961: a legend is born. With its revolutionary continuous-brewing coffee machine, the E61, Faema dominated the national and international market in the 1960s. This masterpiece, which is still in production today after more than 50 years, has become an icon in the world of coffee machines, permanently revolutionising the way coffee is made.

The E61 was named after the 1961 solar eclipse and represents a milestone in the history of coffee machines. Introducing the first volumetric electric pump, which replaces the traditional lever, the E61 guarantees fixed water pressure, creating an excellent and consistent coffee cream. Thanks to the special brewing valve, the coffee powder is wetted before the water pressure passes through it, while an advanced water purification system eliminates limescale deposits, ensuring consistent quality in the cup.

With the E61, Faema is heralding a new era in the production of bar coffee machines, combining a user-friendly design with professional performance. This extraordinary model not only marked an era, but continues to be the benchmark for coffee aficionados around the world to this day.

 Faema Art machine

Founded in Milan in 1945, the FAEMA brand is one of the leading manufacturers of professional coffee machines. Design, innovation, sustainability and coffee culture are the cornerstones of the brand’s production.

In line with the Group’s new vision, FAEMA offers a diversified range of solutions for coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, workplaces and the home environment: wide ranges of espresso machines (traditional and fully automatic), coffee grinders, digital services (apps and services for professionals and enthusiasts) and accessories. FAEMA has made history, offering lever machines in the 1950s and the FAEMA E61 machine in the 1960s, the first to use a volumetric pump.

Thanks to the talent of one of Italy’s most iconic designers, Giorgetto Giugiaro, and Italdesign, the FAEMA E91, FAEMA Emblema, FAEMA E71 range and FAEMA President were produced. In 2021 the brand launched the exclusive FAEMINA, a machine with a minimal, elegant design with which the company is returning to the home segment, while also targeting consumers. While for the Office segment, the latest addition is the X-Compact, ideal for those contexts where the consumer directly interacts with the machine and therefore seeks ease of use.
