Hockey and coffee. Two things that are very popular in Finland. This is an opportunity that Löfbergs is grasping with both hands. The Swedish coffee roaster is already the official coffee partner of Hartwall Areena in Helsinki and Isku Areena in Lahti.
The company is now entering into cooperation with the hockey team TPS and the HK Areena in Turku.
“This is great and will increase our familiarity with one of the nations in the world that drinks the most coffee. This arena investment is a good fit for us as hockey, just like our good dark roast coffee, is a good reason to get together,” says Leif Sjöblom, marketing manager at Löfbergs.
“Löfbergs is an alert operator that we look forward to work with. Together, we will develop our coffee concept to make our guests enjoy their visit even more,” says Niklas Österlund, general manager of TPS.
One of the biggest arenas in the Nordic countries
The cooperation involves powerful exposure in the arena, in VIP and players’ lounges as well as serving organic and Fairtrade labelled coffee from Löfbergs in all restaurants and kiosks.
HK Areena in Turku was built in 1990 and is the fifth largest indoor arena in the Nordic countries, next to Ericsson Globe, Hartwall Areena, Malmö Arena and Scandinavium.
The arena has the capacity to welcome 12,000 spectators and is the home arena of the hockey team TPS, which is the 11-time champion of the Finnish Elite League. The arena is also used for concerts etc. and is visited by 250,000 people each year. Source: press release Löfbergs
