Finns that are interested in hockey apparently want Swedish coffee. Löfbergs is now the coffee partner of another Finnish hockey arena. The company is cooperating with the hockey team SaiPa in Lappeenranta this time.

The Swedish coffee roaster is already represented in the arenas in Lahti and Turku as well as in the national arena Hartwall in Helsinki.

– The Swedes are considerably better at coffee than hockey. So this feels like a really successful signing. We look forward to a lot of great coffee moments, says Riku Kallioniemi, CEO of SaiPa.

Cooperating with an arena is a way for Löfbergs to increase the familiarity of the brand in the world’s most coffee-thirsting country.

– Finland is an important market, where we are growing. This cooperation makes more people aware of us and it will also help us getting more market shares with our dark-roast coffee, says Leif Sjöblom, marketing manager at Löfbergs.

SaiPa is a club with fine old traditions that was founded in 1948. Today, the team is playing in the top league. The cooperation involves powerful exposure in the arena that seats closer to 5,000 people. Organic and Fairtrade labelled coffee from Löfbergs will be served in all restaurants and kiosks.
