Deciding whether you belong to team tea or team coffee is not a decision to be undertaken lightly, and your allegiance to either steamy drink practically determines your whole life.

But it’s a well known fact that coffee with its strong aroma, comforting qualities and ability to satisfy you every time is the clear choice. Tea just can’t compete, and may as well give up now.

Here’s 15 reasons why coffee is better than tea.

1. Perks you up

Coffee can always be relied upon to act as the perfect pick me up in the morning.

It gets you alert, gives you a jolly good buzz, and goes very well with a pastry type treat.

Tea doesn’t pick you up, it offers no buzz, and results in just needing to wee a lot. Thanks for nothing.

2. Always perfect

Have you ever experienced a bad coffee? No, no you have not.

But when it comes to the politics of getting a cup of tea right…well it’s probably easier to send your pet cat to Pluto.

3. Hot or cold…

Coffee fans can’t help but feel overcome with smugness when they see a silly tea lover sobbing with sadness when their tea has gone cold.

When it comes to coffee you can either enjoy it piping hot, or indulge in a cold Frappucino. No sobbing over here.

4. Choices Galore

Tea is BORING. What choices are there? You may opt for one sugar rather than two…WOW!

When it comes to coffee it’s not a one trick pony, and there are varied concoctions which you can enjoy.

Care for a orange spiced latte? How about a salted caramel one instead? Or what about about a mocha and chocolate blend?

Or you could stick to your boring PG Tips and a spoon of sugar rubbish.

5. Never too milky

Eurgh, tea lovers please pipe down about this milky nonsense, because us coffee lovers do not care for it.

When it comes to coffee we firmly believe that the milkier the better.

6. Hello, Americano

The beauty about coffee is that it tastes just as amazing without any milk in Americano form.

Can tea say the same? Nope.

7. Chic factor

There is something chic about swanning around and sipping on a large coffee.

Is there anything chic about plodding along with a soggy teabag floating around your cup? No.

8. Available everywhere

Coffee fans relish a trip somewhere new in order to check out the local offerings.

Tea fans are too busy shoving English Breakfast tea bags into their carry on luggage, and panicking when they run out.

9. Coffee shops = brilliant

Have you ever heard anyone say ‘just popping to the tea shop’? No. Because these places don’t exist.

But you’ve heard someone saying ‘just popping to the coffee shop to treat my tastebuds’ numerous times haven’t you?

10. Hangover friendly

Anything that can aid in chasing a hangover away is always a plus.

Tea – you are too weak for this. Leave it to the real stuff.

11. Low maintenance

Apparently to serve tea you need some big clunky fancy cup.

Coffee ain’t about that nonsense, and a simple cardboard cup is more than enough. Plus they look way cooler on Instagram.

Bonus points if your name is scrawled on it, and you picture it whilst on the go somewhere important or fancy.

12. Extras are delicious

If you feel like jazzing it up you can go for an extra shot of coffee. Or some whipped cream. How about caramel syrup?

What can you do with tea? Get a fruit tea variety. BORING.

13. Easier to make

Water, coffee, sugar and milk – simples.

When it comes to tea there are so many annoying issues around how long to let the bag soak, the level of milk, how much sugar is correct.

Basically it’s annoying, and not even worth the trouble. Coffee is just nice and simple.

14. No teabag breakage issue

Yep. Coffee won’t betray you by exploding everywhere.

We love you coffee. Never change.
