AARBURG, Switzerland – The Franke Group is strengthening its Board of Directors as of March 19, 2021 with Tanja Vainio, a recognized industry expert with many years of international management experience. Tanja Vainio will become a new member of the Board of Directors of Franke Holding AG as of March 19, 2021. This will expand the Board of Directors to six members.
With the appointment of Tanja Vainio, the Franke Group is strengthening the board, which was newly established two and a half years ago, with a highly experienced international industry expert. Tanja Vainio will also be a member of the HR and IT Committees.
Since 2020, Tanja Vainio (1974) has headed the Automotive Tier One business line of ABB Robotics in Zurich, Switzerland. Previously, the mechanical engineer worked for ABB for more than 20 years in various management positions worldwide.
She started her career in 1998 at ABB in her home country Finland. Tanja Vainio earned an MBA and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering/Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA.
