BERLIN – Employees at the coffee roasting company in Berlin found a sports bag hidden inside their delivery of unroasted green coffee beans filled with 33 kilos of cocaine.
The delivery was shipped from Brazil to the German North Sea port of Bremerhaven on its way to Berlin, reports AP.
Police said in a statement they’re investigating who was responsible and how the drugs ended up at the coffee business
It is the second major drug haul to be discovered hidden with another cargo in Germany this year.
In January, more than 300lbs of cocaine were found hidden in banana boxes that had been delivered to various branches of the Aldi discount supermarket chain.
