Mondelēz International announced on September 30th, 2014 the appointment of Mary Barnard as President, Northern Europe.
In this newly created role, Mary will be responsible for Mondelēz International’s businesses in the UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, where Mondelez manufactures and sells some of Europe’s best-known snacks brands, such as Cadbury, Oreo, Kenco, Bassetts, Maynards and belVita.
Mary joined Mondelēz International in March 2014 as Managing Director, Nordics from PepsiCo International, where she held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager Global Pepsi-Lipton Partnership, based in the US, with responsibility for the tea joint venture between the beverage company and Unilever.
She started her career in the UK at Rank Hovis McDougall in 1989 and joined PepsiCo in 1997, rising to Marketing Director of Walkers Crisps. In 2003 she was appointed Business Unit Director Tesco and then General Manager Quaker and Tropicana.

Responsible for some of the largest markets in our European business, she will be instrumental in driving growth across our brands including Cadbury, Oreo and belVita.”

Mary is married with two children.
