Volcafe Specialty Coffee, a subsidiary of Volcafe based in the USA, has recently decided to support World Coffee Research (WCR) through the Check-Off program.
“Volcafe Specialty Coffee Importers is dedicated to serving the needs of both roasters and producers of excellent coffee. Supporting World Coffee Research is a natural extension of this dedication,” said Heinz Zipsin, General Manager.
“ WCR’s global, cooperative approach to research will generate solutions to ensure an ongoing and resilient supply of the high quality coffees on which our business depends. Volcafe is proud to build upon over 160 years of coffee experience by partnering with WCR to ensure viable supply chains into the future.”
Roasters who want to support the Check-Off program can contact Volcafe and specify adding the Check-Off $0.005 be added to each pound for WCR research. Roasters can also commit to a five year Check-Off support contract on the WCR website.

Volcafe Specialty Coffee has a long history in coffee that dates back to 1851 when two brothers began a trading company that included a coffee venture in India.
From that beginning, Volcafe Specialty Coffee was established in 2001, dedicated to sourcing and promoting the production of high quality and single origin coffees from smallholders, cooperatives and estates worldwide.
