Gloria Jean’s Coffees is celebrating the second birthday of its Sereno Blend coffee by offering its customers Free Coffee during the month of June. Australian Gloria Jean’s stores are offering its customers free drinks for the month of June 2015.

This is limited to a Small Classic Coffee made on the Sereno Blend – this means it is limited to the standard drinks: Cappuccino, Latte, Flat White, Long Black, Short Black & Macchiato.

This one small Classic Coffee will be limited to one drink per person per day, and this will apply only to orders placed between 2-3pm for the month of June 2015.

Gloria Jean’s Coffees is an Australian owned, specialty coffee company which operates over 400 coffee houses in Australia as well as having a large international presence.

The company has grown since it’s first Australian Store opened in 1996 through selling its in-store beverages made on the house blend ‘Special Espresso Blend’. This blend was arguably divisive for it’s consumers due to its bold, full bodied attributes.

As a dark roast, it was great for lovers of strong coffee but was not suited to a wide range of palettes. It also required attention to detail when being prepared by the barista to ensure a quality drink.

Sereno blend was introduced by the company 2 years ago as another option for its customers to select for their drinks. This was an effort from the company to overcome criticism of the preparation of their regular blend, in an attempt to appeal to a broader range of tastes.

The Sereno Blend is a medium roast which offers the option of a smoother, creamier flavour. It features lower acidity with buttery citrus flavours and aromas of maple syrup and spices – according to the companies official tasting notes.
