The 2015 World Ibrik/Cezve Championship will be held in Greece on Friday the 6th of February at the Metropolitan Expo during the HORECA trade show.
After Greek Stavros Lambrinidis won the 2014 world championship, SCAE Hellas undertook the initiative to host the event in 2015 in Greece.
Dozens virtuosos baristas from around the world will be competing in preparing coffee using an ibrik, showcasing this unique ‘ritual’.
Choosing Greece as a host for the championship was anything but random, as it clearly illustrates the appreciation of SCAE (Speciality Coffee Association of Europe) for HORECA’s international renown and credibility, and its excellent hosting of the PanHellenic coffee championships of SCAE Greece at the 2014 HORECA.
HORECA will also host the PanHellenic Î’arista Championship, PanHellenic Brewer’s Contest, PanHellenic Latte Art Contest and PanHellenic Coffee in Good Spirits Contest.
