MILAN – To celebrate International Coffee Day 2020, Gruppo Cimbali is hosting Italian Coffee Network, the first live social event dedicated to Italian coffee, celebrating quality coffee together with leading experts in the sector.
The event, organised by SCA Italy, Istituto Espresso Italiano (IEI – the Italian Espresso Institute) and the Consorzio di Tutela del Caffè Italiano Espresso Tradizionale (Consortium for the Protection of Traditional Italian Espresso Coffee), is scheduled to take place at the LaCimbali Technology Heart Human Mind Lab experience centre at the Group’s headquarters.
On 1 October, Gruppo Cimbali and MUMAC Coffee Academy, the Group’s academy for the promotion and dissemination of coffee culture, will host Italian Coffee Network, the first live social event dedicated to Italian coffee. The day marks International Coffee Day 2020, celebrating quality coffee together with leading experts in the sector.
The event, new to Italy and organised by the IEI – the Italian Espresso Institute, SCA Italy (Specialty Coffee Association) and Consorzio di Tutela del Caffè Espresso Italiano Tradizionale (Consortium for the Protection of Traditional Italian Espresso Coffee) will be held at the La Cimbali Technology Heart Human Mind Lab experience centre at the Group’s headquarters (Binasco, near Milan).
Visitors are able to enjoy an immersive experience of the iconic models of the Gruppo Cimbali brand, one of the ambassadors of the Made in Italy merchandise mark around the world.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a schedule of interviews, demonstrations, webinars and much more as the LaCimbali experience centre reopens its doors for the first of a series of events following months of lockdown.
The experience centre will become a real control room for the occasion, with a link every 20 minutes and targeted and in-depth interviews via Facebook on the MUMAC Coffee Academy page, where representatives of the main organisations in the coffee world will interview guests in person and remotely. The topics will cover product and process innovation, quality in the cup, enhancement of the role of barista, sustainability and much more.
Don’t miss the demonstration dedicated to the M100 HDA at 3 p.m. with MUMAC COFFEE ACADEMY trainers on the topic of sustainability, a topic that is currently much talked about in the coffee sector, but very often associated only and exclusively with the production chain.
The webinar will address the sustainability measures that baristas and owners can implement: the technology in the machines, particularly in the M100 HD Attiva, can help to make the café business more sustainable.
