MILAN, italy — It is no longer a novelty, but it is still good news: Gruppo Gimoka is pleased that next year too its catalogue will include some products that bear the prestigious Café De Colombia certification mark, issued by Cafecert, the Colombian Certification Body.

To be honest, the company is now accustomed to this as the renewal has been obtained for the umpteenth time.

All this testifies to the attention and sensibility of the company in proposing prized and important single-origin coffees.

Not only due to their specific origin (the coffees have a Protected Geographic Indication certification), but also for the programme on quality, solidarity and support that unites about 600,000 Colombian families, who are working on this programme.

The Blend Development Laboratory of Gruppo Gimoka relies on the tireless work of internationally qualified professionals, who have the following experiences and qualifications: Q-Arabica Grader, Q-Robusta Grader, Authorized SCA Trainer and IIAC Qualified Taster.

Thanks to this considerable know-how, the group can identify, select several coffees sourced from all over the world and then develop suitable blends and roasting programmes.

On the other hand, in Colombia, Gimoka is an old friend as in October, Paolo  Scimone – a coffee specialist who works in Gimoka – was chosen by the Federación Nacional De Colombia (FNC) to be part of the group of 20 world tasters who will classify the 60 best lots of coffee.
