TRIESTE, Italy – illycaffè announces that Guido Sciascia (PICTURE) has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer.
Reporting directly to Managing Director Massimiliano Pogliani, Sciascia will be in charge of effectively overseeing all marketing mix levers and of improving the performance of the critical success factors outlined in the new corporate strategic plan.
On a global level, he will have to boost all B2C and B2B marketing activities by simultaneously managing the evolution of the brand identity, the new advertising platform and illycaffè digital and social activities.

After graduating in Economics and Business from the Luiss University of Rome, Guido Sciascia began his career in the Unilever marketing department, later developing the Ranieri brand as International Project Manager and thus contributing to expanding the super premium ice cream business.
In 1997 he started working for Barilla, both in Italy and in the USA, gradually covering the posts of Marketing Manager, Global Marketing Manager, Global Marketing Director and Vice President Marketing.
In 2010, he joined Luxottica in the role of Head of Global Optical Category for both the wholesale channel and the retail channel, later expanding his role in 2014 with the position of Head of Global Marketing Wholesale.
