HERSHEY, Pa., U.S. – The Hershey Company has announced the grand opening of New York City’s sweetest landmark – the new, expanded location of Hershey’s Chocolate World Times Square Attraction.
The new store will give approximately four million visitors a year more ways to experience chocolate and Hershey brands than ever before, from an authentic camper where customers can enjoy made-to-order s’mores, to the warm-baked goods and Hershey-inspired treats at the HERSHEY’S Kitchens Bakery.
“Hershey was the first confectionery company to create a destination for people to experience our brands firsthand, with a legacy spanning nearly 50 years,” said Suzanne Jones, Vice President, The Hershey Experience.
“Today, we’re proud to push our legacy forward in Times Square, the crossroads of the world. We’ve succeeded in creating a landmark destination where chocolate lovers will experience something unlike anything they’ve seen, smelled or tasted before.”
The Hershey’s Chocolate World Times Square Attraction celebrated the occasion today with an official “Plume” cutting, an oversized version of the beloved ribbon from a Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolate candy.
The holiday-inspired grand opening event also featured a Hershey’s Melted Hot Chocolate toast, musical entertainment from the harmonizing voices of Milton Hershey School’s New Horizons Choir and a special gift for the first 1,000 attendees. Customers received a first-hand look at the in-store elements that make the Hershey’s Chocolate World Times Square store a truly one-of-a-kind attraction.
