MILAN – Honduran coffee exports rose by a whopping 71.3 percent on year in June to reach 972,969 60-kg bags, the country’s National Coffee Institute, or IHCAFE reported earlier this week.
Total shipments in the 9-month period from October 2016 to June 2017 amounted to 5.9 million bags, up 37 percent from the equivalent period in coffee year 2015/16.
IHCAFE plans to export 7.2 million bags of coffee in coffee year 2016/17 (Oct-Sept).
