ATHENS, Greece – The 15th edition of Horeca dropped its curtain proving once again that the trade show organised by Forum SA is the leading commercial event for the Hotel and Foodservice sector in Greece. From 7 to 10 February, the 50,000 sq. m. exhibition area of the Athens Metropolitan Expo was covered by 550 exhibitors, among which the largest and most important suppliers of food service and hotels.
Making an initial assessment of their participation in Horeca 2020, the exhibitors stated that they were excited by the level of the event as well as the quality of the visitors that mainly comprised decision makers.
From what they said in the field research carried out by the editorial team of the organizing company, they made many serious discussions, met with professionals that were really interested in their products, arranged several post-exhibition appointments and of course closed a very significant number of business deals and expect many more deals to be closed shortly.
At the same time, their total satisfaction with the range and quality of exhibits, the speeches and presentations at the special events and the overall level of the event was expressed by the majority of visitors who, according to their first statements, consider Horeca as the exhibition that no one engaged in our country’s heavy industry, tourism, should miss.
Their market research among the exhibitors in Horeca 2020 helped them save time and effort while the valuable information and knowledge gained from the speeches during the special events will be useful tools for business operation.
In general, the reviews about the parallel events approached excellent. In Business Lab, speeches focused on f&b trends, food and beverage cost, creation of thematic concepts of café bars and design of a bar menu for a restaurant.
Also in Beer & Spirits Show all eyes were turned on the contenders of the 10th Panhellenic Non-Alcohol Cocktail Championship while at the Coffee Events stage, on the contenders of Barista 2020 respectively.
The experienced chefs of Gastronomy Forum through their unique dishes highlighted Greek caviar, fish and ouzo while gastrotourism was in the center for this day as well.
