MILAN, Italy – FieraMilano runs two top-ranking fairs that fully cover all aspects of food & beverages, in large-scale retail and Ho.Re.Ca, and offer a comprehensive overview of the worlds of hospitality and food distribution. To put it another way, HostMilano and Tuttofood present the hardware and the software of out-of-home eating.

And so, in odd-numbered years, the city of Milan, which is already well known as a centre of fashion and design, becomes the setting for a show that displays a whole range of innovative food experiences. Here you really can find everything: from themed foodservice chains and typical Italian trattorias, to luxury ethnic and haute cuisine, which this year also sees the arrival Enrico Bartolini’s three-star restaurant at Milan’s Mudec museum of culture.

Now, after these fairs’ extremely successful 2019 editions, attention must turn to 2021. And with less than two years to go till the curtain goes up on these two fairs it’s looking highly likely that the success recorded last year will be repeated. Over 1,200 companies (a number that is already higher than it was this time two years ago) have already registered to attend the next editions of Tuttofood, from 17 to 20 May 2021, and HostMilano, from 22 to 26 October 2021.

As things currently stand, 821 companies have signed up for HostMilano, 371 of them coming from abroad, chiefly from Spain, Germany, France, the USA, the Netherlands, the UK, Greece and Portugal.

Among those returning are many leading firms in the different macro-areas: Bras/Ugolini, Ciam, Brema Group and Pregel in Gelato and Pastry; Gruppo Gimoka, Kimbo, Sandalj, Ahlstrom-Munsk, Neuhaus Neotec and Probat-Werke in coffee; Gruppo Cimbali, de Jong Duke, Santos and Zummo in Bars; and Fimar, Winterhalter Italia and Minerva Omega, Alto-Shaam, Meiko and Pacojet in Food Service.

Confirmation that the macro-area formula, which was quite an innovative idea when it was first introduced years ago, remains perfectly in line with today’s trends and new hospitality styles, which are seeing many examples of hybridisation and crossovers between sectors.

As for Tuttofood 2021, 400 companies have already signed up to take part. Among them Asolo Dolce, Bonifanti, Franco Vicenzi, Pastiglie Leone, Ipafood, Molino Pivetti, Polselli and Callipo Gelateria and Dolceria Alba.
