ST. LOUIS, U.S. – Based on its lodging industry success serving hundreds of millions of single-serve cups of coffee since 2003, Courtesy Products, manufacturer of the Café Valet Single-Serve Coffee System, today announced its entry into the direct-to-consumer market along with a partnership with one of America’s best-known coffee brands.

Expanding its presence in the fast-growing $3.8 billion single-serve coffee market, Café Valet today announced a new partnership with industry leading coffee brand Caribou Coffee to distribute three premium blends – French Roast, French Roast Decaf and Mahogany – in single-serve packages for use in Café Valet’s patented Classic and Signature brewer models.

Caribou coffees will be sold in 84-count single-serve packages, available at www.cafevalet.com.

Caribou Coffee, the second largest company-operated premium coffeehouse chain in the United States, accepts only the highest-quality Arabica beans, and craft roasts every batch to create the finest coffees. Caribou is the only coffee company to serve 100 percent Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffees.

“As we enter the consumer market, we’re thrilled to be partners with Caribou – one of the finest and most popular premium coffee brands available,” said Café Valet president Matt Schwarz.

“Caribou appeals to a wide range of coffee lovers, particularly Millennials, who will appreciate the simplicity and lower cost of entry into single-serve brewing that Café Valet provides.”

“Bringing Caribou Coffee into the Café Valet product line further establishes our company’s position in the growing premium single-serve coffee category, and Café Valet’s affordable system greatly reduces the price of entry for many consumers,” said Matt Spanjers, Chief Development Officer for Caribou Coffee.

With brewing systems starting at just $16.99, Café Valet’s single-serve products deliver great-tasting, 10 oz. cups of coffee in just minutes with the touch of a button.

A Mintel study showed 36 percent of consumers who do not use single-cup brewers say they are too expensive, giving the economical Café Valet system the opportunity to convert new adopters within the rapidly growing segment.

Additionally, Café Valet will be taking the Caribou Coffee single-serve packs into other settings where the brewers are used, including offices, food service settings and college dormitories.

According to Nielsen’s Scantrack enhanced AOC database, the $3.8B single serve coffee market has experienced a 52.5 percent growth rate from 2011 through 2014, the fastest growing category within any coffee format.
