MILAN – Brazil will harvest 53.2 million bags of coffee in crop year 2018/19 up 14.9 percent on year, according to the first forecast from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, or Ibge.
The increase in production is mostly attributable to the on-year in the biannual Arabica cycle.
In fact the Arabica production will surge to 41.4 million bags, 18.6 percent more than in 2017/18.
