Enough of queuing at a coffee shop for your morning jolt? IBM has secured a patent for a coffee drone that not only flies around public spaces to deliver cups of brew but also predicts which people need caffeine pick-me-ups.
Named “Drone delivery of coffee based on a cognitive state of an individual”, this patent will be packed with sensor data and many other indicators, which will show when a person is sleepy and give them their favorite cup of coffee.
Drones could be flying around a large office complex and, using “biometrics, blood pressure, pupil dilation, facial expressions”, detect when someone needs a cup of coffee.
